[Al-Quran 50:6-8] Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and how it has no rifts? And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].

The Potential in The Ordinary

DRAFT

[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.

[Al-Quran 38:29, Translation: Saheeh International]

Prophet Muhammad  was given a Book, and through it Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ granted faith and guidance to billions of people all over the world.

Moses (Musa عليه السلام)’ staff

And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." [Allāh] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."

[Al-Quran 20:17-19, Translation: Saheeh International]

Moses (Musa عليه السلام)’ staff was an ordinary daily use item, and through it Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ performed many miracles.

First, it was turned into a snake, and then returned to its former condition.

Moses (Musa عليه السلام) was sent to The Pharaoh equipped with just his staff, and it turned into a serpent. The serpent ate up the magic, and the great sorcerers prostrated to Moses (Musa عليه السلام)’ God, submitting to the true religion, and immediately abandoned their sorcery. They didn’t even use their sorcery to try to escape the Pharaoh’s cruel punishment.

…

During the Exodus, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ asked Moses (Musa عليه السلام) to strike the sea with his staff, and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ parted it, paving the way for the Bani Israel to cross the sea, and to drown the mighty Pharaoh and his army.

David (Daud عليه السلام) sling

And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people." So they defeated them by permission of Allāh, and David killed Goliath, and Allāh gave him the kingship and wisdom [i.e., prophethood] and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for Allāh checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the worlds. These are the verses of Allāh which We recite to you, [O Muḥammad], in truth. And indeed, you are from among the messengers.

[Al-Quran 2:250-252, Translation: Saheeh International]

49 David put his hand in his bag, took out a stone, and hurled it with his sling. It struck the P’lishti in his forehead and buried itself in his forehead, so that he fell face down on the ground. 50 Thus David defeated the P’lishti with a sling and a stone, striking the P’lishti and killing him; but David had no sword in his hand. 51 Then David ran and stood over the P’lishti, took his sword, drew it out of its sheath, and finished killing him, cutting off his head with it.

[The Bible, 1 Samuel 17 CJB]

To defeat the giant Goliath (Jalut), all that David (Daud عليه السلام) needed was a sling and a stone.

Jonah (Yunus عليه السلام)'s single sentence

Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment [i.e., provision] for a time.

[Al-Quran 10:98, Translation: Saheeh International]

The word of Adonai came to Yonah a second time: 2 “Set out for the great city of Ninveh, and proclaim to it the message I will give you.” 3 So Yonah set out and went to Ninveh, as Adonai had said. Now Ninveh was such a large city that it took three days just to cross it. 4 Yonah began his entry into the city and had finished only his first day of proclaiming, ‘In forty days Ninveh will be overthrown,’ 5 when the people of Ninveh believed God. They proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least. 6 When the news reached the king of Ninveh, he got up from his throne, took off his robe, put on sackcloth and sat in ashes. 7 He then had this proclamation made throughout Ninveh: “By decree of the king and his nobles, no person or animal, herd or flock, is to put anything in his mouth; they are neither to eat nor drink water. 8 They must be covered with sackcloth, both people and animals; and they are to cry out to God with all their might — let each of them turn from his evil way and from the violence they practice. 9 Who knows? Maybe God will change his mind, relent and turn from his fierce anger; and then we won’t perish.”

10 When God saw by their deeds that they had turned from their evil way, he relented and did not bring on them the punishment he had threatened.
[The Bible, Jonah 3 CJB]

To save the sinful city of that era, all that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ gave Jonah (Yunus عليه السلام) was a sentence. He preached and they repented immediately, all of them, and thus were saved from annihilation.

Job (Ayub عليه السلام)'s cool bath and drink

And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for a] cool bath and drink."

[Al-Quran 38:41-42, Translation: Saheeh International]

All that was needed to cure Job (Ayub عليه السلام) was something very cold to bathe with, and to drink.

Adam عليه السلام eating from a forbidden tree

They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." [Allāh] said, "Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment [i.e., provision] for a time." He said, "Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth." O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allāh that perhaps they will remember. O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.

[Al-Quran 7:23-27, Translation: Saheeh International]

All that was needed to harm Adam عليه السلام was to eat from a certain forbidden tree. As soon as they both ate from it, they harmed their soul, and their body. They lost their natural cover. Their clothes were stripped off.

Desires & Deception

They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allāh makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought To this world and the Hereafter. And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best. And if you mix your affairs with theirs - they are your brothers. And Allāh knows the corrupter from the amender. And if Allāh had willed, He could have put you in difficulty. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise."

[Al-Quran 2:219-220, Translation: Saheeh International]

O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allāh], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allāh and from prayer. So will you not desist?

[Al-Quran 5:90-91, Translation: Saheeh International]

All that the devil needs to arouse sinful desires is for humans to consume some intoxicants.
Our wealth is something that we will be made accountable for on the Day of Judgement. Wasteful spending earns sins. ...

Mosquitoes

Indeed, Allāh is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allāh intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient, Who break the covenant of Allāh after contracting it and sever that which Allāh has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.
[Al-Quran 2:26-27, Translation: Saheeh International]

A tiny, female mosquito, going from human to human, foraging for a blood meal, is all it takes to spread dangerous diseases. Mosquitoes have been known to bring diseases to humans since thousands of years.  …

Noah's ark

Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined. And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails, Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied. And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember? And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. And We have certainly made the Qur’ān easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

[Al-Quran 54:11-17, Translation: Saheeh International]

A simple construction of planks and nails was used to save the few who believed Noah (Nuh

…

Repentance

Then at this statement do you wonder? And you laugh and do not weep While you are proudly sporting? So prostrate to Allāh and worship [Him].

[Al-Quran 53:59-62, Translation: Saheeh International]

To be forgiven, all that's needed is sincere repentance: weeping and shedding tears in front of Allah

…

…

To defeat the USA and their allies, all that the Afghanis needed was unwavering faith and trust in Allah عزوجل . While the world struggled with Covid-19 disease, the Afghanis fearlessly continued their resistance till eventually the invading troops had to withdraw.

Gratitude & Its Manifestation

[Al-Quran 57:25

Mission of the Messengers - XXXI

Abstract
The need, wisdom, purpose and manifestation of gratitude in the worship of Allah ﷻ

Full Text

And if you should count the Favors of Allah, not you could enumerate Indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[Al-Quran 16:18

Surah anNisa` poses the question:

What would Allah do by punishing you if you are grateful and you believe? And Allah is All-Appreciative, All-Knowing
[Al-Quran 4:147

The Wisdom of Gratitude
Surah Luqman explicitly declares the wisdom of gratitude:

And verily, We gave Luqman the wisdom that, "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever (is) grateful then only he is grateful for himself. And whoever (is) ungrateful, then indeed, Allah (is) Free of need, Praiseworthy.
[Al-Quran 31:12]

The next two ayaat of Surah Luqman distinguish between gratitude and worship:

And when said Luqman to his son while he (was) instructing him,
"O my son! (Do) not associate partners with Allah. Indeed, associating partners (is) surely an injustice great."
And We have enjoined (upon) man for his parents - carried him his mother (in) weakness upon weakness, and his weaning (is) in two years that "Be grateful to Me and to your parents; towards Me (is) the destination.
[Al-Quran 31:13-14

The subsequent ayaat of Surah Luqman continue to detail the importance of gratitude, the need to distinguish between gratitude and shirk, and to guard against associating partners (shirk) with Allah

Gratitude for Worship

And not I have created the jinn and the mankind except that they worship Me
[Al-Quran 51:65]

The purpose of our creation is worship of Allah ﷻ , perhaps the most prestigious jobs in the entire creation. Worship implies serving with obedience, reverence and adoration, that is, loving the job, holding the highest regard for Allah ﷻ , having full faith in the purpose, correctness and perfection of all His works and commands, implementing the directives, grateful for the opportunity to serve in the divine government, and consequently, happy in all situations and conditions. Its a highly-privileged position in the grand scheme of things. Surah al-Fajr gives glad tidings to the satisfied NAFS:

"O NAFS! who is satisfied,
Return to your Lord well pleased, and pleasing.
So enter among My worshippers,
And enter My Paradise."
[Al-Quran 89:27-30, Translation edited (in italics)]

Satisfaction with what we have allows us to enjoy all that we have been given, whether less or more. We become pleased, happy and grateful. Satisfaction also enables patience (sabr) over what is not pleasing. The satisfaction of the NAFS with the decrees of Allah  is in sharp contrast to the NAFS which is unhappy with whatever has been decreed for it. The unhappy NAFS is unsatisfied*, and constantly strives for change. Surah az-Zumar, which emphasises sincerity in DEEN, commands:

Nay! But worship Allah and be among the thankful ones.
[Al-Quran 39:66]

* Dissatisfaction manifests itself in a variety of ways: personal appearance and abilities, family, financial position, material possessions, status, racism, nation, planet, life, death, ...

Gratitude for the Guidance
To be able to worship Allah ﷻ , we need to know why we are here and what is expected of us. We owe our utmost gratitude to Allah  for The Quran:

Month (of) Ramadhaan (is) that was revealed therein the Quran, a Guidance for mankind and clear proofs of [the] Guidance and the Criterion. So whoever witnesses among you the month, then he should fast in it, and whoever is sick or on a journey then prescribed number (should be made up) from days other. Intends Allah for you [the] ease and not intends for you [the] hardship, so that you complete the prescribed period and that you magnify Allah for [what] He guided you so that you may (be) grateful.
[Al-Quran 2:185

Purpose of the Guidance

(This is) a Book We have revealed it to you, blessed, that they may ponder (over) its Verses and may be reminded those of understanding.
[Al-Quran 38:29

The Quran guides the believers in all matters personal, social, economic and state. It informs us that this world is temporary, and that humans have been made 'khalaaif' of the Earth to be tested who is the best in deeds. The Hereafter is permanent. Forgetting this fact changes the human focus to this world as the only life, and ultimately the challenges of this life coupled with a lack of faith make humans lose their balance, opting for human philosophical systems of theology and economy, which eventually turn out to be unjust and harmful in the long run:

But among men there is many a one that prefers a mere play with words [to divine guidance], so as to lead [those] without knowledge astray from the path of God, and to turn it to ridicule: for such there is shameful suffering in store.
[Al-Quran 31:6]

The materialist outlook, and all the evils that pervade society, capitalise on the ingratitude for and dissatisfaction with what we already have:

Indeed, the spendthrifts are brothers (of) the devils. And is the Shaitaan to his Lord ungrateful.
[Al-Quran 17:27

As power increases, human greed and the consequent social injustice goes from individual consumerism to the domination of entire nations in pursuit of economic resources and worldly power. Instead of serving the people in the name of God, the rulers become tyrants and oppressors, as Satan's representatives, regardless of which philosophical, economic system they adopt.

The Quran informs us that eventually the DEEN of Allah  will be established, and encourages patience and perseverance, in anticipation of the Days of Allah ﷻ . Prophet-King David (Dawood عليه السلام) was appointed Khalifa and iron was made pliable for him. The importance of iron in technological advancement is fundamental. Technology can be used for both good and evil. The grateful uphold the DEEN, while the unsatisfied ingrates try to corrupt creation. David (Dawood عليه السلام)'s son Solomon (Sulaiman عليه السلام) inherited from his father, and a mighty kingdom was bestowed upon him. The Jinn worked for him. The House of David was advised:

They worked for him what he willed of elevated chambers and statues and bowls like reservoirs and cooking-pots fixed. "Work, O family (of) Dawood! (in) gratitude." But few of My slaves (are) grateful.
[Al-Quran 34:13

Prayer for Gratitude

So he smiled - laughing at her speech and said, "My Lord! Grant me (the) power that I may thank You (for) Your Favor which You have bestowed on me and on my parents and that I may do righteous (deeds), that will please You. And admit me by Your Mercy among Your slaves righteous."
[Al-Quran 27:19

The Prophet-King Solomon (Sulaiman عليه السلام) prayed for gratitude when he heard the (Queen) Ant warn her ants against the forces of Solomon (Sulaiman عليه السلام). Surah an-Naml goes on to relate how this Prophet-King used his power to invite the sun-worshipping mighty kingdom of Saba to the worship of the One, True God. Both of them had great power and magnificent kingdoms, yet what Solomon (Sulaiman عليه السلام) had was far superior to what had been given to the Queen of Saba.

All of us need to be grateful, and to express it through our words and deeds, in whatever capacity personal or social we have been placed in:

And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised.
[Al-Quran 46:15-16, Translation: Sahih International]

The phrase ' وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي ' reminds us that we must repent from our individual and collective mistakes and misadventures, and submit willingly to the DEEN, if we wish to serve Allah  eternally. The perks and privileges awaiting those who serve in the divine government have been detailed across The Quran, and even more unimaginable rewards are promised. The key to it all is being grateful to Allah ﷻ , and cherishing all His gifts as is. Abraham (Ibrahim عليه السلام) was chosen because of his gratitude:

Indeed, Ibrahim was a nation obedient to Allah upright, and not he was of the polytheists.
Thankful for His favors. He chose him and guided him to the way straight.
And We gave him in the world good, and indeed, he in the Hereafter (he) will surely (be) among the righteous.
Then We revealed to you, that, "You follow (the) religion (of) Ibrahim upright; and not he was of the polytheists."
[Al-Quran 16:120-123

O you who believe! bow down and prostrate yourselves and serve your Lord, and do good that you may succeed.
And strive hard in (the way of) Allah, (such) a striving a is due to Him; He has chosen you and has not laid upon you an hardship in religion; the faith of your father Ibrahim; He named you Muslims before and in this, that the Messenger may be a bearer of witness to you, and you may be bearers of witness to the people; therefore keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and hold fast by Allah; He is your Guardian; how excellent the Guardian and how excellent the Helper!
[Al-Quran 22:77-78; Translation: Shakir]

Indeed, the righteous (will be) in gardens and river,
In a seat (of) honor near a King Most Powerful.
[Al-Quran 54:54-55]

Natural Clothing

Abstract
We humans do not have a natural cover. Scriptures inform us that we have inherited this loss.  However, Allah has kindly provided us with clothes and other objects to help us cope with our present condition.

Full Text

O Children (of) Adam! Verily We have sent down to you clothing, it covers your shame and (as) an adornment
But the clothing (of) التَّقْوَىٰ - that (is) best.
That (is) from (the) Signs of Allah so that they may remember.
[Al-Quran 7:26

Almost all creatures are clothed in fur, feather, shell, or some other form of natural clothing. In the plant kingdom also, we find natural protection and beautification. We humans do not have a natural cover. Scriptures inform us that Adam and his wife lost it when they ate from the Forbidden Tree in The Garden. We have inherited this loss! However, Allah has kindly provided us with clothes and other objects to help us cope with our present condition.

Comfort & Protection
Q7:26 informs us that the external clothes that we humans have been provided with are meant to perform two functions: cover our naked skin, and beautify us! The clothing (of) التَّقْوَىٰ was meant to be much more. To meet our other needs, we have been provided with external sources, such as  cattle and iron:

Do not they see that We [We] created for them from what have made Our hands, cattle, then they [for them] (are the) owners?
And We have tamed them for them, so some of them - they ride them, and some of them they eat.
And for them therein (are) benefits and drinks, so (will) not they give thanks?
[Al-Quran 36:71-73]

Cattle are clothed in their natural clothing. We employ their natural clothing to serve a variety of functions, using it for shelter, comfort and protection:

And Allah (has) made for you [from] your homes a resting place, and made for you from the hides (of) the cattle tents, which you find light (on) the day (of) your travel and the day (of) your encampment; and from their wool and their fur and their hair (is) furnishing and a provision for a time.
And Allah (has) made for you from what He created, shades and (has) made for you from the mountains, shelters and (has) made for you garments to protect you (from) the heat and garments to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus He completes His Favor upon you so that you may submit.
[Al-Quran 16:80-81]

Iron is also a substance that has been sent to Earth:

Certainly We sent Our Messengers with clear proofs and We sent down with them the Scripture and the Balance that may establish the people justice. And We sent down [the] iron, wherein (is) power mighty and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident (he) who helps Him and His Messengers, unseen. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Strong All-Mighty.
[Al-Quran 57:25]

Iron was made pliable for the Prophet-King David. The coats of armour that he made from iron are specially mentioned:

And We taught him (the) making (of) coats of armor for you to protect you from your battle. Then will you (be) grateful?
[Al-Quran 21:80

May Allah grant us the piety to submit willingly with gratitude; and may Allah accept our repentance and restore for us the beautiful clothing promised to The People of The Gardens in The Hereafter.

The Language of The Birds

...  He has commanded that you worship not except Him. ... [Q12:40]

Abstract
The Quran mentions the language of the birds. Scientists are discovering genetic commonalities in human and bird speech and language development.
Birds and snakes emerge in many mythologies as sacred and as symbols of power. All power belongs to Allah and he bestows power on whom He wills. So, from being revered as sacred in non-Abrahamic religions, the birds and snakes came under the command of the Jewish King Solomon, and became soldiers in his army.
The Bani Israel are under a ratified covenant. So, it is not surprising that early in The Quran, right after the story of Adam, the Bani Israel are reminded of their covenant.

Full Text

And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."
[Al-Quran 27:16, Translation: Sahih International]

The Quran mentions the language of the birds. It can be observed that the birds sing and they also speak with each other. Some birds, for example parrots, can learn human words, and some humans, for example villagers of Kusköy, Turkey, can whistle and communicate with each other like birds (links below). However, the rare ability mentioned by Prophet-King Solomon in Q27:16 was their ability to have meaningful conversations with birds. Solomon even had birds serving in his army:

And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.
[Al-Quran 27:17, Translation: Sahih International]

Surah anNaml also records the inspection of the troops, potential court-martial, and the subsequent conversation between Solomon, the Commander, and his soldier, The Hoopoe

And he inspected the birds and said, "Why not I see the hoopoe or is he from the absent?
I will surely punish him (with) a punishment severe or I will surely slaughter him unless he brings me a reason clear."
So he stayed not long, and he said, "I have encompassed that which not you have encompassed it, and I have come to you from Saba with news certain.
Indeed, I found a woman ruling them and she has been given of every thing and for her (is) a throne great.
And I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and has made fair-seeming to them the Shaitaan their deeds, and averted them from the Way, so they (are) not guided,
That not they prostrate to Allah, the One Who brings forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare,
Allah (there is) no god but He, (the) Lord (of) the Throne the Great."
He said, "We will see whether you speak (the) truth or you are of the liars.
Go with my letter, this, and deliver it to them. Then turn away from them and see what they return."

Curiously, the Hoopoe nestlings are also found to be able to make hissing sounds like snakes. In fact many other birds are also known to be able to make hissing sounds. This is interesting in the context that both birds and jinns (snakes) were serving in Solomon's army! Moreover, snakes and birds also feature as symbols of power in Ancient Egypt and prior civilisations.

Solomon was the heir of David, from the tribe of Bani Israel (children of Israel), who had been led across the sea by Moses when Allah rescued them from the Pharaoh. Thereafter, they were given The Book, and a covenant was ratified with them.

David & The Birds
Regarding the Prophet-King David, where we read about the great grace bestowed on him, we find the mention of the birds:

And We certainly gave David from Us bounty. [We said], "O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well]." And We made pliable for him iron,
[Al-Quran 34:10, Translation: Sahih International]

Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah ].
Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him, exalting [ Allah ] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise.
And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises].
And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech.
[Al-Quran 38:17-20, Translation: Sahih International]

Communities & Communication
Every creature is organised in communities, and everything communicates!

And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.
[Al-Quran 6:38, Translation: Sahih International]

Genetic Findings
Scientists are discovering genetic commonalities in human and bird speech and language development. The expression of FOXP2 is mentioned frequently in many reports.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FOXP2:
Forkhead box protein P2 (FOXP2) is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the FOXP2 gene, also known as CAGH44, SPCH1 or TNRC10, and is required for proper development of speech and language. The gene is shared with many vertebrates, where it generally plays a role in communication (for instance, the development of bird song).
...
Differences between song-learning and non-song-learning birds have been shown to be caused by differences in FOXP2 gene expression, rather than differences in the amino acid sequence of the FOXP2 protein.

Mythology
Many mythologies mention human-bird conversations.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Language_of_the_birds:
In mythology, medieval literature and occultism, the language of the birds is postulated as a mystical, perfect divine language, green language, adamic language, Enochian, angelic language or a mythical or magical language used by birds to communicate with the initiated. ...
... In Egyptian Arabic, hieroglyphic writing is called "the alphabet of the birds".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoopoe#Relationship_with_humans
...
Hoopoes are distinctive birds and have made a cultural impact over much of their range. They were considered sacred in Ancient Egypt, and were "depicted on the walls of tombs and temples". At the Old Kingdom, the hoopoe was used in the iconography as a symbolic code to indicate the child was the heir and successor of his father. ...

Covenant, Leadership & Power
Birds and snakes emerge in many mythologies as sacred and as symbols of power. All power belongs to Allah and he bestows power on whom He wills. After the destruction of the ancient mighty civilisations, the last of whom was Ancient Egypt, the Bani Israel were tested with kingdom and leadership. So, from being revered as sacred in non-Abrahamic religions, the birds and snakes came under the command of the Jewish King Solomon, and became soldiers in his army. To put it in another way, from human subservience to Satan, in a reversal of roles, the Allah-fearing human came to rule over everyone else on Earth.

The Quran mentions this fact as:

We verily gave Moses the Scripture; so be not ye in doubt of his receiving it; and We appointed it a guidance for the Children of Israel.
And when they became steadfast and believed firmly in Our revelations, We appointed from among them leaders who guided by Our command.
Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.
Is it not a guidance for them (to observe) how many generations We destroyed before them, amid whose dwelling places they do walk? Lo! therein verily are portents! Will they not then heed?
Have they not seen how We lead the water to the barren land and therewith bring forth crops whereof their cattle eat, and they themselves? Will they not then see?
And they say: When cometh this victory (of yours) if ye are truthful?
Say (unto them): On the day of the victory the faith of those who disbelieve (and who then will believe) will not avail them, neither will they be reprieved.
So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), and await (the event). Lo! they (also) are awaiting (it).
[Al-Quran 32:23-30, Translation: Pickthall]

The Bani Israel are under a ratified covenant. So, it is not surprising that early in The Quran, right after the story of Adam, the Bani Israel are reminded of their covenant:

Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally."
O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me.
And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me.
And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].
