[Al-Quran 50:6-8] Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and how it has no rifts? And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].

The Mother goddess

 ...

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray.

They call upon instead of Him none but female [deities], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan.

Whom Allah has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion.
And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah ." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.
Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will not find from it an escape.
[Al-Quran 4:116-121, Translation: Sahih International]

Throughout history, the female has been worshipped. As stated in Wikipedia [as on November 21, 2023]:

mother goddess is a major goddess characterized as a mother or progenitor, either as an embodiment of motherhood and fertility or fulfilling the cosmological role of a creator- and/or destroyer-figure, typically associated the Earth, sky, and/or the life-giving bounties thereof in a maternal relation with humanity or other gods. When equated in this lattermost function with the earth or the natural world, such goddesses are sometimes referred to as the Mother Earth or Earth Mother, deity in various animistic or pantheistic religions.[citation needed] The earth goddess is archetypally the wife or feminine counterpart of the Sky Father or Father Heaven, particularly in theologies derived from the Proto-Indo-European sphere (i.e. from Dheghom and Dyeus). In some polytheistic cultures, such as the Ancient Egyptian religion which narrates the cosmic egg myth, the sky is instead seen as the Heavenly Mother or Sky Mother as in Nut and Hathor, and the earth god is regarded as the male, paternal, and terrestrial partner, as in Osiris or Geb who hatched out of the maternal cosmic egg.

The believe in a female supreme being stands in sharp contrast to the belief in the One and Only Deity of Abrahamic faith, referred to with the male pronoun. The Quran further clarifies this faith:

بَدِيۡعُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ اَنّٰى يَكُوۡنُ لَهٗ وَلَدٌ وَّلَمۡ تَكُنۡ لَّهٗ صَاحِبَةٌ ؕ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ‏ ١٠١

[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion [i.e., wife] and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

Q20:20 Egyptian Cobra

 Iblis & The Egyptian Cobra

And when We said to the Angels, "Prostrate to Adam," then they prostrated, except Iblis; he refused.
[Al-Quran 20:116]

He said, "Not (will) come to both of you food you are provided with but I will inform both of you of its interpretation, before [that] [it] comes to both of you. That (is) of what has taught me my Lord. Indeed, I [I] abandon (the) religion (of) a people, not they believe in Allah, and they in the Hereafter [they] (are) disbelievers.
And I follow (the) religion (of) my forefathers, Ibrahim, and Ishaq and Yaqub. Not was for us that we associate with Allah any thing. That (is) from (the) Grace (of) Allah upon us, and upon the mankind but most (of) the men (are) not grateful.
[Al-Quran 12:37-38]

To Allah belongs everything and He knows everything. With that introduction, Surah Ta Ha Q20:9 starts relating the story of Moses. When Allah spoke with Moses, Allah ordered him to establish prayer for His Remembrance, as the Promised Hour is definitely going to occur, when every nafs will be recompensed! Moses was also warned against being averted from prayer by the one who doesn't believe and follows هَوَاهُ generally translated as 'his desires'.

To show Moses a sign, Allah asked him to throw his stick which became a snake (حَيَّةٌ). Moses was then told not be afraid of it, but rather to pick it up, upon which it would revert to its former state.

The Egyptian Cobra was a symbol of royalty, deity, sovereignty and divine authority in Ancient Egypt. The Egyptian Pharaohs wore the symbol on their head. The Egyptian Cobra is called Naja Haje. On the Wikipedia page about the Egyptian cobra (dated March 19, 2021), it states:

Etymology and taxonomy

The Naja haje was first described by Swedish zoologist Carl Linnaeus in 1758. The generic name naja is a Latinisation of the Sanskrit word nāgá (नाग) meaning "cobra". The specific epithet haje is derived from the Arabic word ḥayya (حية) which literally means "snake".[4]

With the two miracles in Moses' hand: (the control over the Egyptian Cobra & the Healed Hand), Moses was commanded to go to The Pharaoh to demand the release of Allah's chosen people: the Bani Israel.

The Bible, Genesis 3:1, explicitly declares that the beast in The Garden was a serpent.  While Q18:50 already informs us that Iblis is from the jinn (an ectotherm), and Q27:10 & Q28:31 state that Moses' stick became a jaan (snake), in Q20:20 it clearly specifies the species: (حَيَّةٌ), the very symbol the Pharaoh wore on his head! Iblis, the snake, had refused to prostrate to Adam, and the polytheistic Egyptians revered the very creature.

Faith in one Allah, and submission to His Commands, the monotheistic religion of Abraham, stands in sharp contrast to the polytheistic beliefs of the ancient Egyptians.

And not is for Him equivalent any [one]."
[Al-Quran 112]

The Ancient House

Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform ṭawāf around the ancient House."

...

For you therein [i.e., the animals marked for sacrifice] are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.

[Al-Quran 22:29,..., 33, Translation: Saheeh International]

Searching across The Quran for the word 'الۡعَتِيۡقِ' , one realises that these are the only two ayaat where this word has been used, exclusively for Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ 's house, and is translated as ancient. The root letters are  ع ت ق .There are no other words with this root. The rest of the words translated as ancient are from other root words. Search results for ancient || old.

In Q2:125 (طَهِّرَا بَيۡتِىَ) and Q22:26 (طَهِّرۡ بَيۡتِىَ) we read that Abraham (Ibrahim عليه السلام) is commanded by Allah to purify 'My House'.

The Ancient of Days

In the Book of Daniel, we come across a term: the Ancient of Days. This phrase refers to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ , and is a composite of two words: Ancient (Atik) and Days (yom). To quote from a Christian study of the term:

...

“The Ancient of Days” in its original linguistic form is Aramaic (Dan 2:4b – 7:28 are written in Aramaic), which is “atik yomin” with the Hebrew equivalent: עַתִּיק יֹומִין

There are two parts to this name: Ancient and Days

“Ancient” is an adjective meaning “advanced, aged”. (Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon)

“Days” is a plural noun meaning “a duration of time”. (BDB)

...

Daniel describes his vision of end times as when the thrones are set up and The Ancient of Days takes His Place, and a Judgement is made (Daniel 7:9, 7:13, 7:22).

The Quran, in the ayaat concluding the twenty-fifth ruku (Q2:197-210), which is about pilgrimage to the ancient house, with a focus on the types of pilgrims, also questions thus:

هَلۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فِىۡ ظُلَلٍ مِّنَ الۡغَمَامِ وَالۡمَلٰٓٮِٕکَةُ وَقُضِىَ الۡاَمۡرُؕ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرۡجَعُ الۡاُمُوۡرُ‏ ٢١٠

Do they await but that Allāh should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allāh [all] matters are returned.

[Al-Quran 2:210, Translation: Saheeh International]

Days, the concept of

The Quran and The Bible, both inform us that Allah created the earth and skies in six days

Regarding end times also, we read about 'The Day ... '.

Moreover, in Q9:36, we read that the months of the year are twelve since the day Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎  created the skies and earth, of which four are sacred. ...  so the years and months are a system of measurement in this created world, while the concept of day is ancient to the calendar, and also ancient to the creation of the skies and earth.

Spirits and spirituality

DRAFT

Say, "He (is) Allah, the One.
Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute.
Not He begets and not He is begotten.
And not is for Him equivalent any [one]."
[Al-Quran 112]

The Quran is quite clear that there is only One Deity, One God: Allah, and that He is not related to anyone. Moreover, we do not know what He looks like. We know that He has created everything and everyone, and all created beings must submit to Him.

Spirituality is on the rise. After a brief interval of secular, atheistic world view, many people crossover to spirituality as their chosen way of life. Some indulge in experiences involving mind-altering substances, and report fantastic visions. They also report their experiences as healing, and perspective-changing. They come to revere the beings in their vision, almost to the point of association with the Only God (polytheism). Some go as far as to reject the One, True Creator God, and take these created beings of their visions as worthy of worship. As archeological findings are increasingly available globally, it seems clear that the same deception has been going on since ancient times, with overlaps in imagery and art giving away the common origins of these experiences.

While Abrahamic scriptures admit to the existence of invisible creatures, both good and bad; yet they insist on the monotheistic faith in, and worship of, the One and Only God who created everything and everyone. They need to be consciously aware that the spiritual beings encountered in trance-like situations are a trial, and are a source of misguidance.

And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allāh has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason. And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allāh as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allāh. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allāh. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allāh and that Allāh is severe in punishment. [And they should consider that] when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship], Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allāh show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire.

As mentioned in The Shuar & The Achuar (الشُّعَرَاءُ)

The shamans claim to be in touch with spirit powers who guide them. They revere these beings. Generally these beings appear in their trance. Quite often, they report them as snakes.

While Abrahamic religions believe in the existence of other realms, hidden from normal human view, yet they are quite clear in their knowledge that there exists no God but the One and Only God.

...

Destroying the Ego (Psyche)
The Quran informs us that Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within their NAFS:

For him (are) successive (Angels) before him and behind him, who guard him by (the) Command of Allah. Indeed, Allah (does) not change the condition of a people, until they change what (is) in themselves their NAFS. And when Allah wills for a people misfortune, then (there is) no turning away of it, and not for them besides Him any protector.
[Al-Quran 13:11, translation edited]

Growing popular openly, at an alarming rate, is the use of psychedelics: mind-altering medicinal plant derivatives, all over the world and particularly in the Amazon Jungle. The shamans administer and oversee the rituals. The consumers mainly report (i) destruction of the ego, (ii) healing, (iii) contact with strange creatures, (iv) the snake mother, (v) hybrid monsters, among other experiences.

The polytheistic pantheon contains many strange creatures, and the snake is an essential part of their mythology. The snake || serpent || dragon, also known as the devil or Satan, is an essential part of the story of The Bible, Genesis 3, the Fall of Adam. It begins with the statement:

1Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.

The Quran also mentions the snakes and the reptiles. There is an entire Surah al-Jinn that delves in the details. More on this at: جَانٌّ (Snake || Jinn) || The Creation & Emergence of Species || Q15 23-50 || Q12

To quote Ruku #18 from Surah an-Nisa` which explicitly mentions that the worship of the female deity is actually the worship of the devil:

Indeed, Allāh does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allāh has certainly gone far astray. They call upon instead of Him none but female [deities], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan, Whom Allāh has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion. And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allāh." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allāh has certainly sustained a clear loss. He [i.e., Satan] promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will not find from it an escape.
But the ones who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. [It is] the promise of Allāh, [which is] truth, and who is more truthful than Allāh in statement. It [i.e., Paradise] is not [obtained] by your wishful thinking nor by that of the People of the Scripture. Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allāh a protector or a helper. And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer - those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed. And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allāh while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allāh took Abraham as an intimate friend. And to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allāh, of all things, encompassing.

Polytheistic beliefs and traditions stand in sharp contrast to the monotheistic Abrahamic faith in the One and Only Deity. The polytheistic mighty ancient civilisations progressed, and their relics testify to their technological prowess. It seems like they all share a similar love for this world and its immediate benefits, but at the cost of the Hereafter.
