[Al-Quran 50:6-8] Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and how it has no rifts? And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].

With Our Hands

Cattle and Robots

Say, "He (is) Allah, the One.
Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute.
Not He begets and not He is begotten.
And not is for Him equivalent any [one]."
[Al-Quran 112]

There is no ilah except Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ , the one and only God. The Quran is very very clear on this. The Quran also mentions some creation tasks performed through others.
In Surah Yasin we read:

Do they not see that We singlehandedly created for them, among other things, cattle which are under their control?

And We have subjected these ˹animals˺ to them, so they may ride some and eat others.

And they derive from them other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks?

Al-Quran, Surah Yasin, ayaat 71-73]

Cattle have been especially created to provide for many needs of humans: carrying loads, tilling the land, milk and meat, material for clothing and tents, and so on. All that is expected in return is gratitude for this special blessing.

Cattle have been created by those tasked with some creation tasks by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎  ( kindly read explanation at the bottom of this post in the note titled: THE CREATOR  I and THE CREATORS WE ).

Robots are being built by humans to assist in many tasks.

Cattle are a carbon-based biological creation.

Robots are silicone-based artificial invention.

Cattle go through the cycle of life and death.

Robots are manufactured, and thus do not have a biological lifecycle.

Cattle mate to procreate their kind.

Robots do not have the ability to procreate, at least, not yet.

Cattle sleep and wake up.

Robots can be switched on and switched off.

…

As humans advance technologically, more and more frontiers are being conquered. Humans have been granted the intellect to study and learn, and apply that knowledge. Adam عليه السلام and his progeny have been bestowed the responsibility of Khilafat. Their job is to rule with equitable justice, establish and uphold Allah  ’s Deen (legal system), and to remove oppression and corruption. We have to take care that Allah  ’s Deen is not violated by any of our technology. The power and the knowledge bestowed upon us is a trust (ٱلْأَمَانَةَ). We must always remember that our purpose is to humbly serve Allah  as we have been created to serve Allah

-------------------------------------------------------------

The following is an excerpt from  Human: Body or Soul?

THE CREATOR  I and THE CREATORS WE

Originator (of) the heavens and the earth.
How can be for Him a son while not (there) is for Him a companion,
and He created every thing? And He (is) of every thing All-Knower.
[Al-Quran 6:101

The Quran uses various words to inform us that it is Allah who has conceived, designed, originated, created and increases in creation, governs, sustains; and it is Allah to whom the Kingdom of the heavens and earth belongs. Therefore, Allah is the only Deity (ilah) and He alone is worthy of worship. Everything else is created, and no matter how great a task any created being may be entrusted with, everyone and everything, except Allah, is created and is serving Allah.

2:117 informs us that Allah is

7:54 informs us that اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ

35:1 informs us that الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ

If we look at the usage of these words across the Quran, we find that 'badee' and 'fatara' are used exclusively as the acts of Allah, while 'khalaqa' is used for Allah and other beings. I think 'badee' means Inventor of creation, while 'fatara' means Separator of creation into individual units/beings.

Quran search results:

Moreover, wherever the act of creation is referred to using the root letters [kha-lam-qaf], it seems to imply creating something from something: humans are created from 'teen', jinns are created from 'naar', and probably [kha-lam-qaf] implies and/or allows for creation after a set pattern. Even where Jesus' miraculous ability to create a bird from 'teen' is mentioned, the root [kha-lam-qaf] is used, and it is clearly mentioned that Jesus was able to do so by Allah's permission (Q3:49Q5:110).

I understand that in the grand governance of the heavens and earth, Allah has created some beings with mighty powers and entrusted some of the task of creation [kha-lam-qaf] to them. It seems that they are also entrusted with preparing the scriptures. However, Al-Quran 10:37 clarifies:

And not is this the Quran, that (it could be) produced by other than Allah
but (it is) a confirmation (of that) which (was) before it and a detailed explanation (of) the Book,
(there is) no doubt in it, from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.

So, I infer that the acts of creation, and the preparation and revelation of the scriptures are all done under the instruction, guidance, supervision and control of Allah. Creation belongs to Allah and the scriptures are from Allah for our guidance. Al-Quran 2:252 states:
These (are the) ayaat (of) Allah,
We recite them to you in [the] truth
And indeed, you (are) surely of the Messengers.

Al-Quran 4:163-166 states:
Indeed, We have revealed to you as We revealed to Nuh and the Prophets after him, and We revealed to Ibrahim and Ismail, and Ishaq and Yaqub, and the tribes, and Isa and Ayyub, and Yunus, and Harun and Sulaiman and We gave (to) Dawood the Zaboor.
And Messengers surely We (have) mentioned them to you before and Messengers not We (have) mentioned them to you. And Allah spoke (to) Musa (in a) conversation.
Messengers, bearers of glad tidings and warners, so that not there is for the mankind against Allah any argument after the Messengers. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
But Allah bears witness to what He (has) revealed to you. He has sent it down with His Knowledge and the Angels bear witness. And Allah is sufficient (as) a Witness.

However, that does not make these beings gods, nor do they ask to be taken as 'ilah' instead of Allah. Rather, they reiterate across the Quran that there is only one God (ilah). They do not make themselves known to us by their names or forms. In Al-Quran 37:164-166, they state:

"And not among us except for him (is) a position known.
And indeed, we surely, [we] stand in rows.
And indeed, we surely, [we] glorify (Allah).

As for polytheism, it is stated very clearly in the Quran that those who the polytheists take as their gods are nothing but Jinns (dJinns or genies), and that the Jinns are not the creators, nor do they have any such power or ability to make them worthy of any deification, worship or obedience.

In fact, in the story of Adam, whom Allah created Himself, the Quran is very clear that Adam was honoured because of the knowledge that Allah endowed him with, and those with lesser knowledge were asked to submit/prostrate to Adam. When Iblis was questioned why he didn't obey God, Allah is quoted thus: He said, [Al-Quran 38:75]

"O Iblis! What prevented you that you (should) prostrate to (one) whom I created with My Hands? Are you arrogant or are you of the exalted ones?"

Surah al-Jinn is very clear about the condition of the Jinns, how the secrets of the heavens are protected and they prevented from it, and that whenever Allah sends any message through a chosen messenger, Allah ensures that the messenger and the messages are well-guarded, protected, brought and delivered.

And Allah knows best.

Jinns & Humans

He created the man from clay like the pottery.
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
[Al-Quran 55:14-15]

Based upon the ability of organisms to internally produce heat or depend upon external sources to regulate their body temperature, they are classified as endotherms and ectotherms: endotherms such as humans thermoregulate their body temperature; ectotherms, on the other hand, depend on their environment to heat or cool down their bodies, such as snakes and other reptiles.

The Age of Reptiles

And verily, We created humankind (out) of sounding clay from black mud altered.
And the jinn We created it before from fire scorching.
[Al-Quran 15:26-27

The Quran states that in this world the jinns were created before humans. Jinns, I understand, are Snakes, as discussed in detail in جَانٌّ (Snake || Jinn). According to fossil records, the reptiles appeared on the Earth much before the mammals.

With His Hands

He Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎  created Adam

Say, "He (is) Allah, the One.
Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute.
Not He begets and not He is begotten.
And not is for Him equivalent any [one]."
[Al-Quran 112]

The Quran speaks about Allah ﷻ 's Hands:

Say, "O Allah, (The Arabic word has the supplication suffix umma) Possessor of the Kingship, You bring the kingship to whomever You decide, and You draw (Literally: pluck out) the kingship from whomever You decide, and You render mighty whomever You decide, and You humiliate whomever You decide. In Your Hand is (the) Charity; (i.e., the choicest) surely You are Ever-Determiner over everything.

[Al-Quran 3:26, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

And a section of the population of the Book (Or: Family of the Book, i.e., the Jews and Christians) said, "Believe in that which has been sent down upon the ones who have believed in the early part (Literally: the face of the daytime) of the daytime and disbelieve at the last part of it, that possibly they would return (i.e. to your religion).

And do not believe anyone except him who has followed your religion." Say, "Surely the guidance is the guidance of Allah, "- that anyone should be brought the like of what you have been brought, or that they would argue against you in the (Meeting) with your Lord. Say, "Surely Grace is in the Hand of Allah; He brings it to whomever He decides; and Allah is Ever- Embracing, Ever-Knowing."

[Al-Quran 3:72-73, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

The following ayat clearly mentions Allah ﷻ 's two Hands:

And the Jews have said, "The Hand of Allah is shackled." Shackled are their hands, and they are cursed for what they have said. No indeed (but) both His Hands are out spread, He expends how He decides. And indeed what has been sent down to you from your Lord will definitely increase many of them in all-in ordinance and disbelief; and We have cast among them enmity and abhorrence till the Day of the Resurrection. Whenever they kindle fire for war, Allah will extinguish it. And they endeavor (diligently) in the earth doing corruption; and Allah does not like the corruptors.

And if the Population of the Book (O: Family of the Book, i.e., the Jews and Christians) had believed and been pious, We would indeed have expiated for them their odious deeds and would indeed have caused them to enter the Gardens of Bliss.

[Al-Quran 5:64-65, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

Indeed in their narratives is already a lesson to (the ones) endowed with intellects. In no way is it a discourse fabricated, but a (sincere) verification of what is before it, (Literally: between its two hands) and an expounding of everything, and a guidance, and a mercy to people who believe.

[Al-Quran 12:111, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

Say, "In whose hand is the dominion of everything, and He gives neighborly (protection), and He is not given neighborly (protection by anyone), in case you know?"

They will say, "To Allah (all that belongs)." Say, "However then are you bewitched?"

[Al-Quran 23:88-89, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

And He is the One Who has sent the winds, bearing good tidings before (Literally: between the two hands of His mercy) His mercy; and We have sent down from the heaven water most pure.

[Al-Quran 25:48, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

Is not He (Most Charitable) Who guides you in the darknesses of the land and the sea and Who sends the winds, bearing good tidings before (Literally: between the two Hands of) His mercy? Is there a god with Allah? Supremely Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him).

[Al-Quran 27:63, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

And (the ones) who have disbelieved have said, "We will never believe in this Qur'an, nor in that before it." (Literally: between its two hands) And if you could see as the unjust ones are being made to stand in the Reckoning of their Lord, bandying argument the one against the other! (Literally: some of them returning the saying to some "others") (The ones) who were deemed weak will say to the ones who waxed proud, "Had it not been for you, we would indeed have been believers."

[Al-Quran 34:31, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

...

Say, "Surely I admonish you with one (thing) only, that you rise up to Allah by twos and singly; thereafter meditate: in no way is there any madness in your Companion. Decidedly he is nothing except a constant warner to you, before (Literally: between the hands of) a strict torment."

[Al-Quran 34:46, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

Allah created Adam عليه السلام with His Hands:

Said He, "O Iblis, what prevented you to prostrate yourself to what I created with My Hands? Have you waxed proud, or are you of the exalted?"

[Al-Quran 38:75, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

The noun used for hands in the above ayat is dual, as also in Q5:64 quoted earlier in this post:

Screenshot from: corpus.quran.com

In the following ayat, the singular form is used:

Surely the ones who swear allegiance to you, surely swear allegiance only to Allah; the Hand of Allah is above their hands. So, whoever breaches (his oath), then he breaches against himself; and whoever fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah, then He will soon bring him a magnificent reward.

[Al-Quran 48:10, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

O you who have believed, be not forward before (Literally: between the Two Hands of) Allah and His Me- ssenger, (i.e., do not ant) and be pious to Allah; surely Allah is Ever-Hearing, Ever-Knowing.

Lest that the Population of the Book (Or: The Family of the Book, i.e., the Jews and Christians) should know that they are able to estimate anything of the Grace of Allah, and that the Grace is in the Hand of Allah; He brings it to whomever He decides; and Allah is The Owner of the magnificent Grace.

[Al-Quran 57:29, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

Supremely Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the Kingdom, and He is Ever-Determiner over everything.

[Al-Quran 67:1, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

And so, in Surah az-Zumar, we read:

And in no way did they estimate Allah His true estimate; and the earth all together will be His grasp on the Day of the Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His Right Hand. All Extolment be to Him, and Supremely Exalted be He above whatever they associate (with Him)!

[Al-Quran 39:67, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

Also, consider these:

[Al-Qur’an 13:13, Translator: Sahih International] And the thunder exalts [Allah] with praise of Him - and the angels [as well] from fear of Him - and He sends thunderbolts and strikes therewith whom He wills while they dispute about Allah ; and He is severe in assault.

[Al-Qur’an 41:13, Translator: Sahih International] But if they turn away, then say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt [that struck] 'Aad and Thamud.

Similarly, the people of Madyan were punished:

[Al-Qur’an 11:95, Translator: Sahih International] As if they had never prospered therein. Then, away with Madyan as Thamud was taken away....

Secular Celebrations

 ...

Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday, Family Day, and other secular "days" and "anniversaries" are rooted in and/or inspired by pagan, polytheistic, fertility traditions. When people refute polytheism, Satan cannot directly cause them to sin, he employs the paths of least resistance to tempt them into seemingly harmless activities.

Abrahamic religions have the benefit of revealed scriptures which clarify the oneness and unity of God. The scriptures inform us that everyone and everything else is created. God does not have a family. Worship belongs to the one true God. However, mainstream Christianity, and, as mentioned in The Quran, the Jews, associate a son with God. Any such association is clearly refuted.

Polytheistic traditions are generally about a divine family, and have many rituals and customs associated with fertility. Throughout ancient history till present day, the polytheists worship not only a pantheon of deities, but also consider their parents as manifestations of the divine. Recently, Parents' Worship Day (Matri Pitri Poojan Diwas) has also been introduced in India, and has been declared an official celebration.

People love celebrations, and enjoy them very much. As the world is going secular, many religious people are also embracing celebrations which apparently do not seem to contradict their faith. Almost all religions enjoin kindness and gratitude to parents especially, and to the family. So, in non-polytheistic societies, we see the introduction of secular celebrations which seem to honour the mother, the father, the child, the family, or the grandparents.

We believe that the true religion has always been the same monotheistic worship of the one and only God. We also believe that people have slid into polytheism several times. Secularism never lasts. Every advanced society that was destroyed was polytheist. Advances in knowledge bring with them the realisation that their must be someone behind creation and its maintenance. In the absence of a firm rooting in monotheistic scriptures, it is very easy to slide from secularism to polytheism. It may take generations, or the change may be very rapid. The scholars who warn against embracing secular ideals must be heeded to (few links below).

Moreover, there is the commercial angle to such festivities. People spend on decorations, gifts and fancy food to make such days special. Extravagance is not sanctioned by God. Surah al-Balad (The Country) reads thus:

No! I swear by this country, - (Or: city)

And you (i.e., the Prophet) are an inhabitant of this country.

And (I swear) (by) the begetter and what he begot.

Indeed We already created man in suffering.

Does he reckon that no one can ever determine over him?

He says, "I have consumed stacked wealth."

Does he reckon that none has seen him?

Have We not made for him two eyes,

And a tongue, and two lips,

And guided him on the two highways (of good and evil)?

Yet he has not rushed along the uneven (Or: steep) track.

And what makes you realize what the uneven track is?

It is the freeing of a slave, (Literally: the untying of a neck)

Or feeding upon a day of famine.

An orphan of (Literally: owning) near relationship,

Or an indigent man in starvation; (Literally: in dusty circumstances)

Thereafter he is one of the ones who believed, and enjoined one another to have patience, and enjoined one another to do merciful deeds.

Those are the companions of the position of Rightness.

And the ones who disbelieve in Our signs, they are the companions of the position of sinister (befalling); (Or: the Hand)

Over them is a Fire without any outlet (Literally: vaulted/over).

[Al-Quran 90:1-20, Translation: Dr. Ghali]

Secular Science vs Creation Faith

Say, "He (is) Allah, the One.
Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute.
Not He begets and not He is begotten.
And not is for Him equivalent any [one]."
[Al-Quran 112]

The scriptures inform us about the creation of the heavens and the earth, and about our creation. They outline the process and the objectives, and also the future outcomes.

Science attempts to explore, understand, and put to use the world around us. It eliminates scripture-based beliefs about creation, replacing them with its own thought-constructs.

O humanity! Worship your Lord, Who created you and those before you, so that you may become mindful ˹of Him˺.

˹He is the One˺ Who has made the earth a place of settlement for you and the sky a canopy; and sends down rain from the sky, causing fruits to grow as a provision for you. So do not knowingly set up equals to Allah ˹in worship˺.

[Al-Quran 2:21-22, Translation: Dr. Mustafa Khattab]

Scriptures speak about the six days of creation.

Science insists upon billions of years.

Scriptures speak about the creation of creatures.

Science insists upon evolution of creatures.

Scriptures glorify God as the source of all life.

Science considers the Sun as the source of all life on the planet.

Scriptures glorify God as the sustainer of all life.

Science considers the Sun as the sustainer of all life on the planet.

Scriptures speak about the laws decreed by God to govern all creation.

Science seeks to replace scripture-based laws with human rationale.

Scriptures speak about man as God's appointed representative to rule above all.

Science attempts to equalise humans with rest of the creation.

Or ˹ask them,˺ “Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down rain for you from the sky, by which We cause delightful gardens to grow? You could never cause their trees to grow. Was it another god besides Allah?” Absolutely not! But they are a people who set up equals ˹to Allah˺!

Or ˹ask them,˺ “Who made the earth a place of settlement, caused rivers to flow through it, placed firm mountains upon it, and set a barrier between ˹fresh and salt˺ bodies of water? Was it another god besides Allah?” Absolutely not! But most of them do not know.

Or ˹ask them,˺ “Who responds to the distressed when they cry to Him, relieving ˹their˺ affliction, and ˹Who˺ makes you successors in the earth? Is it another god besides Allah? Yet you are hardly mindful!”

Or ˹ask them,˺ “Who guides you in the darkness of the land and sea, and sends the winds ushering in His mercy? Is it another god besides Allah? Exalted is Allah above what they associate ˹with Him˺!

Or ˹ask them,˺ “Who originates the creation then resurrects it, and gives you provisions from the heavens and the earth? Is it another god besides Allah?” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Show ˹me˺ your proof, if what you say is true.”

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “None in the heavens and the earth has knowledge of the unseen except Allah. Nor do they know when they will be resurrected.

No! Their knowledge of the Hereafter amounts to ignorance. In fact, they are in doubt about it. In truth, they are ˹totally˺ blind to it.

[Al-Quran 27:60-66, Translation: Dr. Mustafa Khattab]

Scriptures seek to save humans.

Science seeks to transcend humans.

Scriptures seek to maintain original forms of creation.

Science encourages experiments leading to corruption of creation.

Scriptures decree moral laws so human families can flourish in society.

Science does away with moral laws in the name of equality and freedom.

Scriptures glorify the one and only, true God.

Science has historically often led to polytheism.

Scripture informs us that we have been sent to stay temporarily on this Earth.

Science dreams of colonising space.

Scripture teaches us how to save our soul (nafs / nephesh). It warns against making changes in the nafs.

Science refuses to acknowledge the existence of the nafs. When it discovers the soul (nafs), in the absence of guidance from the scriptures, the danger is that it may try to make changes in it also.

Scripture warns us that we risk losing our soul (nafs) permanently, terming it as the greatest loss.

Science encourages us to take risks to attain worldly benefits.

Scripture informs us of true knowledge, and God willing, results in technological advancements, as in the Kingdom of Solomon.

Science bases it progress on false premises, and results in technological advancements with polytheistic beliefs, as in the Kingdom of Saba (Sheba).

Scripture informs us of a resurrection, and an accountability.

Science cannot inform anything about afterlife.

Scripture is not subject to change.

Science changes its 'faith' continuously.

Scripture insists on the worship of the one and only, true God.

Science goes from displacing God as the deity to be worshipped, to secular beliefs about chance and accident, and a thus a deity-less world, to recognising fine-tuning and precision in creation. Most technologically advanced ancient civilisations thus resorted to a techno-theology worship of creation instead of, or along with God.

We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this ˹Quran˺ is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is a Witness over all things?

They are truly in doubt of the meeting with their Lord! ˹But˺ He is indeed Fully Aware of everything.

Astrology: then & now

That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger,

Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne,

(One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy;

And your comrade is not mad.

Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon.

And he is not avid of the Unseen.

Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned.

[Al-Quran, Surah at-Takwir, ayaat 19-25, Translation: Pickthal]

Surah at-Takwir begins with the news of some future events. It then informs us that it (The Quran), and the news of the unseen, is being brought to Muhammad  by an honourable, trustworthy messenger (Gabriel (Jibreel عليه السلام)) who has a high status from where he brings it. The surah also clarifies that he  is not possessed by any jinn.

By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars,

And by the Promised Day.

And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony,

...

Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an.

On a guarded tablet.

[Al-Quran, Surah al-Buruj, ayaat 1-3, ... 21-22, Translation: Pickthal]

Surah al-Buruj, begins with the mention of the constellations, and concludes with the statement that a glorious Quran is on a guarded tablet.

Race one with another for forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whereof the breadth is as the breadth of the heavens and the earth, which is in store for those who believe in Allah and His messengers. Such is the bounty of Allah, which He bestoweth upon whom He will, and Allah is of Infinite Bounty.

Naught of disaster befalleth in the earth or in yourselves but it is in a Book before we bring it into being - Lo! that is easy for Allah -

That ye grieve not for the sake of that which hath escaped you, nor yet exult because of that which hath been given. Allah loveth not all prideful boasters,

Who hoard and who enjoin upon the people avarice. And whosoever turneth away, still Allah is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise.

We verily sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance, that mankind may observe right measure; and He revealed iron, wherein is mighty power and (many) uses for mankind, and that Allah may know him who helpeth Him and His messengers, though unseen. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty.

[Al-Quran, Surah al-Hadid, ayaat 21-25, Translation: Pickthal]

The Quran mentions that nothing happens till Allah decrees it, and that everything is written in a Book. It also urges to race in forgiveness in pursuit of a Garden, as wide as the sky and earth, prepared for the believers. The believers are exhorted to spend from whatever they have been given, instead of hoarding it.

Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;

With security from every froward devil.

They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side,

Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment;

Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame.

[Al-Quran, Surah as-Saffat, ayaat 6-10, Translation: Pickthal

The Quran mentions that the sky is guarded from the devils, who cannot listen to the exalted assembly, except that if and when someone steals a hearing, he is pursued by a flame. We know that there are meteors in our solar system, which can be observed falling into our atmosphere as a burning stone.

And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders.

And We have guarded it from every outcast devil,

Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue.

And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein.

And we have given unto you livelihoods therein, and unto those for whom ye provide not.

And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure.

And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof.

Lo! and it is We, even We, Who quicken and give death, and We are the Inheritor.

And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards.

Lo! thy Lord will gather them together. Lo! He is Wise, Aware.

[Al-Quran, Surah al-Hijr, ayaat 16-25, Translation: Pickthal

The Quran mentions that everything is being sent down in known quantities, in a timely manner. This should obviously be the case, as Surah al-Hadid (quoted above) informs us that everything is written in a Book before it is brought into existence. So, there is a well-organised, planned system of sustenance for each and every creature.

 And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah);

And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) -

And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors.

And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him;

And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them.

And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules.

And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.

And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression.

[Al-Quran, Surah al-Jinn, ayaat 6-13, Translation: Pickthal]

Surah al-Jinn begins with the information that a group of jinn listened to The Quran and marvelled at it.  It informs us that some human men used to establish contact with some jinn men, seeking protection, and that only increased them in the burden of sin. The surah quotes the jinns' statement that previously they used to sit in pursuit of information, but now the sky is guarded, and they can no longer access the information.

And unto Solomon (We gave) the wind, whereof the morning course was a month's journey and the evening course a month's journey, and We caused the fount of copper to gush forth for him, and (We gave him) certain of the jinn who worked before him by permission of his Lord. And such of them as deviated from Our command, them We caused to taste the punishment of flaming Fire.

They made for him what he willed: synagogues and statues, basins like wells and boilers built into the ground. Give thanks, O House of David! Few of My bondmen are thankful.

And when We decreed death for him, nothing showed his death to them save a creeping creature of the earth which gnawed away his staff. And when he fell the jinn saw clearly how, if they had known the Unseen, they would not have continued in despised toil.

[Al-Quran, Surah Saba, ayaat 12-14, Translation: Pickthal]

The Quran mentions how the ignorance of the jinns was exposed when they continued to work for Solomon even after he had died, as he appeared to be standing till his stick was eaten by the creeping creature of the earth (termite?), and it consequently collapsed. Had they known the unseen, they would not have continued in the humiliating service.

Astrology is an ancient practice of seeking knowledge about the future from the stars, and making future plans accordingly. The most ancient records of Astrology are found from Babylon, ancient Mesopotamia. The Quran mentions Babylon in the context of magic learnt there. Both magic and astrology are denounced in Islam.

Professional astrologers still practice and are sought out by people. Indian movies have created awareness about the key role of astrologers in setting the date of Hindu weddings.

According to Wikipedia [copied on April 14, 2023]:

Astrology is a range of divinatory practices, recognized as pseudoscientific since the 18th century,[1] that claim to discern information about human affairs and terrestrial events by studying the apparent positions of celestial objects.[2][3][4][5][6] Different cultures have employed forms of astrology since at least the 2nd millennium BCE, these practices having originated in calendrical systems used to predict seasonal shifts and to interpret celestial cycles as signs of divine communications.[7] Most, if not all, cultures have attached importance to what they observed in the sky, and some—such as the HindusChinese, and the Maya—developed elaborate systems for predicting terrestrial events from celestial observations. Western astrology, one of the oldest astrological systems still in use, can trace its roots to 19th–17th century BCE Mesopotamia, from where it spread to Ancient GreeceRome, the Islamic world, and eventually Central and Western Europe. Contemporary Western astrology is often associated with systems of horoscopes that purport to explain aspects of a person's personalityand predict significant events in their lives based on the positions of celestial objects; the majority of professional astrologers rely on such systems.[8]: 83

Throughout most of its history, astrology was considered a scholarly tradition and was common in academic circles, often in close relation with astronomy, alchemy, meteorology, and medicine.[9] It was present in political circles and is mentioned in various works of literature, ... Astrology thus lost its academic and theoretical standing in the western world, and common belief in it largely declined, until a continuing resurgence starting in the 1960s.[16] In India, belief in astrology is long-standing, widespread and continuing.

Surah at-Tur clearly and emphatically clarifies that Muhammad  is neither a soothsayer nor one possessed by a jinn:

Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman.

[Al-Quran, Surah at-Tur, ayat 29, Translation: Pickthal
