[Al-Quran 50:6-8] Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and how it has no rifts? And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].

Noor, in a bottle ...

...

Say, "He (is) Allah, the One.

Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute.

Not He begets and not He is begotten.

And not is for Him equivalent any [one]."

[Al-Quran 112]

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى is One, Only, Unique, and He is the Noor of the skies and earth:

[Al-Quran 24:35]

Trying to understand the above ayah, looking at the standard English translations, I found the word زُجَاجَةٍ translated generally as 'glass'.
Today, searching for this root across the text, I find that this word is only used in this ayat and nowhere else in The Quran.
Online search for the meaning of this word results in 'bottle'. Other searches result in glass bottle, ...

According to Wiktionary, [copied on December 23, 2024]:

According to Reverso, [copied on December 27, 2024]:

I always carry a bottle of clean water when hiking in remote areas.
bottle containing water sat on the windowsill, waiting to be used.
Please refill the empty pill bottle before we go on vacation.
After the hike, everyone needed a bottle of still water.

So, a source of light, that looks like a bottle, ... imagine a tubular structure, like a torch? The source of Nur of the skies and earth.

Regarding Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى 's Eye, we read in Surah Ta Ha:

that is, ‘Put him (the baby) in the chest, then cast it into the river, then let the river throw it by the shore, and it will be picked up by one who is enemy to Me and enemy to him.’ And I had cast love on you from Myself (so that you might be favourite of all), and that you might be brought up under My eye.

[Al-Quran 20:39, Translation: T. Usmani]

An Eye that produces its own light, and does not depend on any external source of light to illuminate anything.

Does Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى have just one eye? The next ayat of Surah Ta Ha (Q20:40) mentions the eye of Moses (Musa عليه السلام) ' mother. It is also mentioned in singular. There are Hadith attributed to Prophet Muhammad  that states that Allah is not one-eyed (quoted below).

Allah ﷻ , in His Person, is above His Arsh, outside the created seven skies and earth. He  shines His Noor upon His creation. His Noor encompasses everyone and everything. Nothing is hidden from Him. He grants His Noor to whom He Wills, and withholds from whom He Wills.

The Quran is a Noor (Q7:157), and The Torah was also a Noor (Q5:44) before it, and so was The Injeel (Q5:46). Regarding The Quran, it states:

Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ sent this ˹Quran˺ down on the Night of Glory.[1]

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran

[1] It is also believed that the angels descend with all decreed matters for the whole year during that night (al-qadr also means ordainment or destiny).

Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.

— Saheeh International

[Al-Quran Surah al-Qadr, ayat 1]

The revealed scriptures are a Nur in the darkness of this world. They show the Believers the path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى , guiding them in all matters of faith, conduct and morality.

Hadith

Narrated `Abdullah: Ad-Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet. The Prophet () said, "Allah is not hidden from you; He is not one-eyed," and pointed with his hand towards his eye, adding, "While Al-Masih Ad- Dajjal is blind in the right eye and his eye looks like a protruding grape."

Narrated Anas: The Prophet () said, "Allah did not send any prophet but that he warned his nation of the one-eyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). He is one-eyed while your Lord is not one-eyed, The word 'Kafir' (unbeliever) is written between his two eyes."
